Music
Contest Rules:
- To be eligible, your
song must be a completely original composition. No remixes or remakes of
other songs will be accepted.
- The song must be in
MIDI, MP3, or Flash audio formats. Files need to be 3 megabytes or less.
- You must give permission
to list your song on 'musiccontest.org'.
- You must give a valid
e-mail address. You must own this e-mail address.
- You must give your
real name. If you'd like to list your nickname on this site, please let
us know, but you still need to supply us with your real name.
- It is the responsibility
of the contest winner to supply their correct contact information and address
to receive the prize. If the prize is sent to the wrong address it will
not be re-sent.
- The winner will be
sent the prize no sooner than 1 month after the end of the quarter. We will
use this time to display your song and ask visitors to verify that the song
is indeed original.
- Contestants that supply
false or inaccurate information will be disqualified and barred from this
competition forever, and an alternate winner will be selected.
- You must submit your
song before the quarter deadline to be eligible for that quarter's contest.
- We reserve the right
to not list songs with offensive content.
Judging:
- The music will be judged
based on:
- the quality of
the tune.
- originality.
- how well the song
catches and keeps your attention.
- the level of emotion
evoked.
- There may be independent
judges evaluating the songs, but in the end the contest winner is decided
by the owner of this site.
